Snapshot Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1

What is Snapshot?

Accepted Answer

Snapshot is a simple student profile that combines a resume, a short audio intro, and, when applicable, a portfolio or work sample. It helps students share more than a resume alone and gives employers added context before and after recruiting events.

Question 2

Who is Snapshot for?

Accepted Answer

Snapshot is for New Mexico Tech students and grads participating in events where Snapshot is being used, as well as employers recruiting from those events.

Question 3

How do students create a Snapshot?

Accepted Answer

Students can create a Snapshot by uploading their resume and recording a short audio intro.

Question 4

Why does Snapshot include audio?

Accepted Answer

Audio gives employers added context that a resume usually cannot provide. A short response can help show how a student communicates, what they are interested in, and how they talk about their experience.

Question 5

Does Snapshot replace in-person New Mexico Tech career fairs?

Accepted Answer

No! Snapshot supports New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology career fairs, recruiting events, and mixers. It helps students and employers connect before, during and after those events.
